    Hi,

    I purchased a used Xbox One on eBay that had an e100 error to repair with my daughter. It seemed like an easy repair but proving harder then expected. It looks like the issue is that the last owner registered the console in the insider program and the last update did not take. I have no way to contact the last owner to unregister it and since it is part of the insider program I can not do an offline update. I can not get past the troubleshooting screen. It will not factory reset and it can not take an offline update due to the insider program. Is there a way to fix this? Can I join the insider program with this console and get an offline update? Or can I join the insider program, register this console then leave and somehow unlock it? Any thoughts would be appreciated

    Are you in the XBox Insider Program? If so, you need to unenroll from the program prior to using OSU's.

    As stated in this XBox Insiders Wiki OSU's CAN'T be used if your console is a Insider OS build.

    Are you in the insiders program?

    If you are then use a windows 10 machine and download the xbox insider's app and remove your console then apply the update

    If not in the insiders program use the offline update tool

    Thank you, in this case I can advise you one more thing:
    Perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.
    For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with detailed steps and requirements):

    PS: if you're using an insider build / beta OS in your console you need to leave the insider program first
    If not, the offline update is not going to work

    First of all I suggest you to follow all these steps:
