HELP! Poor Xbox Wifi Connection

This is an issue I have become increasingly frustrated with. I currently have the new gen, Xbox series S, and I am running into a multitude of connection issues when playing online games. It is getting to the point where it is almost unplayable.

The main reason this is becoming increasingly infuriating is because my roommate, who is on the original Xbox One, does not experience ANY of the connection issues that I experience. Our setups are in the rooms right next to each other, the same distance
from our wifi modem (If anything, mine is a bit closer) Why does my Xbox, one that is supposed to be more powerful than an xbox that was released 7 years ago, have these issues?

I realize a simple solution is going with a wired connection, but my modem is on the opposite side of the apartment and I will not be running a 100ft cable through my apartment. Yes, I have checked the wifi connection and it says the signal is good and strong.
I realize I can purchase wifi extenders but that is a whole other can of worms. We have gotten to the point where we turn off everything else on our wifi to see if that makes a difference, it doesn't. We have tried changing the room that xbox is in to see
if that helps, it doesn't.

My main question is this: Why is my xbox having a plethora of connection issues while my roommates has virtually none? How can I improve my connection without having to spend money on wifi extenders or cables that have to run across my apartment?

My wifi always has at most two bars and it doesn't work, is this the problem? I can still connect but I have poor wifi connection from the router to my room

Try resetting the router, update your wifi settings and update your console. If youve got poor connection maybe think about a wifi extender or booster

So you have a wifi connection from your xbox to your router?

When searching for wifi connection on your xbox, how many networks to you see? This could be the problem. Too many will cause interference and you will have a poor and intermittent connection.

I had this problem and I solved it by getting a wife adapter for my xbox and switching from a 2.4Ghz connection to 5Ghz connection. Had no issues since.

Download, upload, and latency are all dependent on your WiFi connection. It is possible to have high speeds but poor latency, this is usually an issue with your router, internet connection, or the WiFi signal.

Wherever possible a cable connection is best for faster a d or reliable connection.

You could also consider line adapters.

My sons xbox uses these as his xbox upstairs gets poor wifi and using the power line plugs works great.
