[Help needed] Xbox Party Chat no longer connecting since recent outage

Since Tuesday my Series X has not been able to connect to any Parties.

It enters the party but says "Connecting" and eventually hangs and autoquits.

Prior to this issue, no changes were made to the Xbox settings or my router. Both sit untouched.

My NAT is fully Open with the status reading "All Services are available".

What we have tried:

*Resetting the router

*Changing between 6 different networks - wired and Wifi

*Changing routers to AP Bridge modes

*Checking if there were any account enforcement issues - there were none - I have a "Perfect Record"

*Spoke with Xbox Support on phone and they confirmed there are no issues at their end concerning my account

*Hard reseting/Wiping the entire Xbox and re-adding my account

None of these have made any difference to the issue.

I am aware earlier in the week there was a Party Chat outage but it seems to have been restored for the majority of users.

However I am also aware from Twitter searches and Reddit forums that there are other people who are experiencing this issue, and only since the recent outage.

Without party chat I am unable to play with my friends and family, and as I work overseas from home this is quite affecting.

Any help/advice that could fix this issue would be most appreciated.

I will try this in the morning when I finish shift.

Fingers crossed it'll work for me. Game chat is just too awful.

Mines fixed. I got help through Twitter, I followed the 1st solution with blue ray and I can talk in parties again. I also had a flickering line on my screen that was annoying so I factory reset my series x (w/ option to keep games and apps)

Hope you guys get yours fixed too.

Could you please try the steps below in order to fix your issue and let us know the updates .

Step 1 : Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console and check again

Step 2 : Turn off your console and router > unplug power cords > wait 30 seconds > plug the power cord back in > turn on both devices and check again

Step 3 : Remove your profile from the console > restart your console > sign in with your account and double check

If none of this steps fixed your issue our last step will be reset : Go to settings > system settings > console info > reset console > keep my games and apps > double check

Menji, this was so weird. I'm going to have a dig around Arabic Twitter and see if I can pull up any other stuff to forward on to XboxSupport on Twitter.

TBH, it seems there's enough people from the same region with the same issue having started at the exact same time that with their money, they could literally fly someone over economy class to the region to run some box tests and confirm there's an actual problem.

Believe me, I don't think there's anything that can be done at our ends on this one. This is well beyond going through Xbox and Router settings/wiping consoles/offline updates. This is clearly something that has happened beyond our control. Even the telecoms engineer I had out the other day was completely stumped.

I've tweeted both Ooredoo and Xbox Support into the same post to try and force a statement on the matter.

Twitter Complaint

I wouldn't be surprised if something has happened from Qatar side - they blocked most VOIP channels at the start of the regional blockade under the guise of "local security" but mostly to push people to pay for videocall credits.

If this is the case for Xbox Live the cripes, but I can't even get party to run when running it all through my VPN, which is why I'm still suspecting an Xbox issue.

Well, this is interesting.

I'm also in the MENA region, Saudi Arabia to be exact.

But most of my friends are not facing the same issue.
