HELP!!!! my XBOX says i have a virus

ok thanks but it keeps telling me i have 5 and i need to renew my mcafee subscription. but it those notifacations are coming from microsoft edge, system, and mcafee. is that anything i should worry about?

Don't feel bad we had a guy who had 20 years experience to my 35 years in IT who claimed there was no such thing as a false.positive in firewalls I blew away his theory

False positives happen as they use ancient ports which are used elsewhere

But as with xbox it can't run malware since its a closed encrypted runtime

Some websites will have pop-up messages telling you there is a virus, telling you that your anti-virus has lapsed or that it needs updating etc etc...they are just to try and trick you into clicking them to download whatever malware they contain. As noted above, just ignore them.
