Help? My Xbox has been stuck on updating and I want to make sure I don't brick it.

I'm not sure I want this update since it was delayed. That makes me suspicious. My One works fine. I don't want it bricked by some glitchy update. lol

I got the project scorpio version on day one that had an issue with the power brick and got it replaced under warranty. Have not had any issues since then. Not sure if that helps you make your decision but that has been my experience.

*UPDATE* I'm not sure if it was because of the update or not but the root cause was my power brick. Either the update affected my power brick (which I don't know if it's even possible) or the power brick was faulty and just happened to
have issues during the update. I took it to Gamestop and they plugged up a different power brick and it booted up fine. The old power brick always stays orange. If you have this issue, check the power brick.

power brick is about as big, if not a smidge bigger than the 360 slim powerbrick. I'm not sure why people get so caught up in the size of the xbox and/or the power brick. It just gets stuck behind the xbox out of view.

If an external power bricks helps my console to stay cool and last for 10 years.....I'm all for it.
