HELP. Microsoft XBOX 360 - wont power on

Hi, I have an issue with my Microsoft XBOX 360.

When plugging in my power supply to the wall socket and then into the back off the xbox360 the console the light on the supply goes a steady amber colour.

Then when I press the power button the centre of the power button flashes green for a second or two and then doesn't power on.

The power pack light goes to a solid red colour.

any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

It sounds like the power brick might be broken but you might need a new power brick

Sounds like your Xbox 360 power supply is going out. I'd recommend trying to narrow down if it's your power cord that is failing or you Xbox 360 that is overheating. Recommend using a different power cord and see if your Xbox still fails to power on. Best

It might be some hardware issues, I would go to any electronic stores that might can fix your 360, this doesn't seem like a technical issue, hope this helps!

Checa si no es un problema de cables o electricidad también puede ser que tu consola necesite mantenimiento o que sea el generador que este fallando

on closer inspection the PSU I purchased is an HP-1502p2. my model PSU is hp-1503p2

not sure if this would make a difference. unit had same voltages and wattage and outputs and also same psu plug end.
