    Hi there,

    gifting will only work when in the same country, be sure to check your accounts are indeed the same region via this link: Sign in to your Microsoft account

    it will show the country in the second colum to which your account is connected. Also be sure to check the console if it's connected to the same region.

    If the redeeming shows that the regions do not much it's safe to say that somewhere there is a difference and results in the code not able to be redeemed.

    The best thing to do is that the giver will contact Xbox Support for a refund as mentioned on this link: Help with giving digital games as gifts

    For the giver to contact Xbox Support they have to use the Phone or Microsoft Support Chat option at
