Help... I tried everything: Game Bar achievements notifications in different language

I live in Germany, but I speak and use Windows 10 in English. My W10 region is set to Germany. I already tried changing the region to US, resetting the Game Bar app, reinstalling the Xbox app and so on with no good results.

The problem: everything is in English inside both the Xbox and Game Bar apps, also achievements, but for some reason while I'm playing a game and unlock achievements the notification from Game Bar appears in German.

How's that possible? Is it a bug? Any fix?

Yes, sadly it happens with any game... I will try to change the regional format to Europe but I doubt that'll fix it... It's probably what you said, they pull that info from somewhere else. Hopefully it will be fixed in the future...

I don't have a solution for you, I'm afraid. But as someone also living in Germany who prefers everything in English, I know exactly how frustrating this is. I have the same problem on my Xbox One. The weird thing is, it's only some games and/or some
times, while most of the time everything is in English as it should be.

My guess is that the system pulls your location from the IP-address and uses the local language. But I don't know why this only affects some games or parts of the UI. Maybe it depends on how the game's achievement system is programmed?

Do you have the same problem with every game? Or only this one? I played Sudoku on W10 a couple of weeks ago and the achievements unlocked in English.

Comparing your screenshots to my settings, the only difference is your "English (Germany)" while I have "English (Europe)." Maybe worth a try changing it?

I am in in the same boat as you, but with a different notification bug. Anytime I receive a message, game download update, party invite, or achievement there would be no pop-up notifications and they won't even show in the notification bar. I have tried
every suggested fix with no luck and I have been dealing with this for over six months now. The only thing I have learn about this issue is that the NXOE title update is to be blamed. Before the NXOE, all the notification were running smoothly until that update
srcewed everything up.

I'm also finding people saying the language is set to your ip. So there might not be anything to do about it other than change it with a VPN. Its pretty recent i reinstalled windows. Suggestions on what to try next is welcome

And perhaps add an option for language in game bar itself for the menu/notifications
