    So all I want is a console to play games with my brother so he doesn't get bored the whole day doing nothing after we do sports.

    I was planning on buying a switch but I don't think I'll be playing with it while the game pass has a good catalog.

    My main games would be GTA and It Takes Two as I'm not really a gaming person but would love to get into this world.

    So my idea was to buy a series S and get a 2-5TB storage unit to connect to the xbox.

    I wanted to get the new console too, which is rog x ally or something like for the steam games that but while I wait for reviews on it I wanted a cheap xbox option and the series S seem to fit for those occassional games.

    That said, you guys are more experienced with what to do and what not to. So any recommendations?

    Like where should I buy, should I get an additional controller specifically from XYZ, which gamepass option is best or if there's something different I should be doing since my last console was an Xbox One in 2013 or so and I don't game much either.

    Why won’t my monitor run 1440p 120hz on Xbox Series X?

    It's really recommended to look for monitors that have been fully tested on the Series X|S hardware before going out and buying one. There are loads of videos on YouTube of compatible displays.

    Terrible graphics in FIFA 22 on Xbox Series S

    I am also done with Xbox I am not going to buy their console again moving back to PS because PS will never give you such a bad resolution

    Going to buy PS and not going to recommend anyone to buy an Xbox series S because the graphics on fifa22 is very bad and poor

    Hi,

    Are you planning to upgrade your monitor to a higher resolution model like 1440P or 4K?

    Do you have these games on disc or as digital purchases?

    The Series S has no Blu-ray optical drive so if your Xbox One games are on disc, you'll need to buy them again on the Series S. If the cost of re-buying your games is going to be expensive, then the Series S isn't for you. You'll be better off with a Series
    X as you can use your current owned disc games on that straight away.

    I'm getting a Series S on launch, I only have a few disc games, but the main reason I went for the S is because I couldn't get an X on pre-order day. But I do intend to replace my S with an X later.

    Concerning your issue are you going above the recommended resolution settings ?.

    If you are setting it to 4k then reduce it down

    1080p or 1440p is max

    For most next gen games for the series s specifically

    This is actually told to you when you buy a series s

    It is NOT supposed to run at 4k

    It will run but not run well

    When you see 4k listing it means for xbox one x and series x NOT the series s

    Which is supposrd to run most games at 1440p with some being forced to 960p

    You do knoe the series s specs aren't the same as the series x right?
