Help! I get authentication error messages several times when connecting my xbox account to...

Hopefully it isn't too much longer until they fix it! It's impacting a lot of people and causing a lot of frustration. I'm going to lock this thread but I'll unlock it if I have any more news regarding this issue.

Hello! Just realised that I totally did not forget that this exists!

I connected my steam account first before trying to connect my Xbox account since I played the game on Steam first before on my Xbox. I tried unlinking my steam account from my bungie account and it seems to be greyed out meaning I can't unlink it.

I tried using another computer and it still gave me another authentication error despite using the same troubleshooting resolutions bungie provided. I restarted the router and tried it again and still provided me the same result.

I've reached out to bungie about this roughly 3 days ago and they responded that I have to keep trying to get it to work until it's successful.

Worst case scenario, I can restart my progress again, which is fine but a bummer. Not the end of the world though!

Thanks for reaching out to the Xbox forums! I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with getting your Destiny 2 cross-save up and running.

Unfortunately, this is a known developer issue on Bungie’s end, not Microsoft. I tried to recreate your issue and I was able to enable cross-save between my Xbox account and my Steam account without any kind of authentication errors.

Have you tried connecting the Xbox account first and then the Steam account? Rather than Steam first and then Xbox. I did that, as I first played on Xbox and not Steam, and it worked just fine. Additionally, you could unlink all platforms from cross-save in your Bungie account and try fresh.

My only other suggestion, since you’ve tried restarting your computer and other basic troubleshooting, is to try a different computer or device and to also restart your internet and try again. Additionally, I would reach out to Bungie support to try to fix the issue or at least get an update on their progress at fixing this issue.

Every time i try to connect my xbox account, I get this error:

Unable to authenticate with Xbox Live network. Please ensure your account is an Xbox Live account. (My xbox live is still good and working)

It also says invalid login data when i try linking it when logged int to the social club.

I too am having issues with Starz Play. I authenticated my device and then it constantly tells me the servers are not available. There seems to be no issue with any of my connections and Xbox support just tells me to contact Xbox support. I have re downloaded
several times and cleared my cache and I still get the same message.
