    HELP! Given Achievements By Cheater


    So, I was playing Call Of Duty Black ops 2 on my Xbox One Slim when I joined a modded lobby. I was going to leave when the screen said “Give All Achievements”. I left as fast as possible, quit the game, looked at my Gamerscore, I was heart broken. I think
    my Xbox Live Profile had 10215 Gamerscore before, now it is 10855 Gamerscore. I’ve spent almost a year collecting achievements and I don’t want to lose it all. I did not get the cheaters name because it was changing and I had to leave the game. I do not want
    to get banned because of a cheater. I don’t know what achievements I was given and what to do. Any Help Would Be Fantastic!

    P.S. This my first time creating a post.

    Gamer score reset?

    The only way to really start over is by creating a new account. A gamerscore reset is only given if you have been found to have gained your achievements by cheating the system. Once a reset is given, you are labelled a cheater and can never re-earn any of

    question about the cheat DLC pack on market place

    if i buy the cheat DLC pack and use it, will it disable achievements? or can i still get them? i am assuming since i am paying for it, it will not disable achievements. does it work like the cheat mode in crackdown? in crackdown, when you use cheats you
    can't get achievements but, when you go back and play without the cheats, you can get the achievements. i wanna be sure i won't disable or lock achievements by buying the cheats pack and using it.

    Unfortunately the advice you were given is wrong. The only way to remove achievements is if your gamerscore is reset for cheating. This will remove all achievements you've earned from every game, you cannot reearn them, and you will be marked a cheater.

    Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. There is no way to have just certain gamerscore removed. The only time gamerscore is reset is if you have been found to have cheated to get the gamerscore. Then you are given a gamerscore reset (all achievements from
    every game removed) and labelled a cheater.

    Hi, unfortunately there isn't much anyone can do to remove the achievements. Having looked at your achievements, they are indeed unlocked and now saved to the servers. The only way to remove achievements is to get a Gamerscore reset - which is only given
    upon illegitimate modification of achievements, and will remove ALL achievements, and will not allow you to re-earn them. You will also be labelled a 'Cheater'.

    So it's best you don't go down that road. Hopefully someone else can give their insight into this problem - achievements unlocking themselves seems strange.

    Here's a dummy's guide -

    There's two records of the activities of your account when you're on XBL, one is server side and the other is user side.

    When you earn achievements offline and then connect to XBL again without having to recover your account then both records sync up and you keep the achievements.

    If however when you want to reconnect you have to recover your account then you'll get the last record XBL has of what was on your your account at the time. Hence any achievements you earned offline would be lost because XBL has no record of you completing
    those achievements.

    This is not a cheater reset which is where your entire gamerscore is wiped and nor will your account be given the cheater label. You will be able to earn those achievements again too.
