Help!!! Fireteam issue xboxone

I can't invite anyone to my fireteam it keeps stating that my Fireteam is closed. I have searched far and why on how to fix it, found solutions for the ps3 and xbox 360; but they do not work for the xbox one. I go to roster and click to the right of
fireteam and click the beta options... there is no way there to change from closed. This is really taking away from the full experience of the beta and would love some help.

I find it much easier and stable to invite people while in orbit

 

they can't join, it say's that they can't join because my privacy settings for fireteam are closed. I've seen post for editing it on the ps3 and 360 but not xbox one

 

Ranting time . . .

As I'm sure anyone who has played Titanfall, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, or any other multiplayer Xbox One game already knows, the party and chat system on the Xbox One is pretty much the worst. Of course, the devs and PR guys are going to try to
spin it like it has so much more functionality this way, but fact of the matter is it just doesn't work. Bring back the paper-thin Xbox 360 application suite for all I care, I would rather that than this heavy-handed clunker they've thrown together for us.

Now, what I mean to say is, how do I invite my friends to my fireteam in destiny? I've tried in every scenario (in mission, in orbit, at tower), but nothing works. I've tried with the party app and via the "roster" interface. I've seen some websites that
claim I need to forward certain ports for it to work, but they list a crazy large amount of ports and include predefined ones like port 80 . . . um, yea, I am not forwarding all incoming HTTP requests to my Xbox One, thank you. What is the deal with this?
Does anyone have a solution yet?

Okay for anyone trying to figure out how to invite friends to your fireteam or join a friends fireteam on the XBOX ONE, go to orbit, now follow these steps:

1. Press the "X" button.

2. Go to friends app.

3. From the home page of the friends app, go to "My Profile".

4. Tab right and (under the "JOIN IN" label) click on "Destiny".

5. If your friend is listed, skip to step 10.

6. Click on "Invite more".

7. Select your friend.

8. Click invite to game or Part & Game.

9. Refresh the friends app by pressing "B" to back out, and then go back in.

10. Find your friend and click his name.

11. Click join.

12. Click game.

 

So, to recap, It takes 12 extremely obscure steps to emulate a service that Microsoft developed about a decade ago. I would like to congratulate Microsoft and the entire Xbox One team for designing this extremely advanced "next gen" console.

 

I bought an xbox one about a week ago and it is the slowest system I have ever encountered. The 360 could invite people to groups faster. I have raged hard just on the dashboard doing dumb things. All in all this system is bad and im trading it for a ps4.
