HELP! Destiny game error "Game requires Hard Drive to play"

I recently bought Destiny on the Xbox Marketplace. I let it download over night. When i try to play it, it gives and error message saying "Xbox 360 Hard drive required to play this game". What does that mean? I have an internal hard drive. I have the 4GB
xbox version and downloaded the game on a flashdrive. PLEASE HELP!!

This^ You may also have to have a online connection, as the first time you play the game it should download the emulation software you need to play.

Sorry to hear it. You do need to have an official Xbox 360 hard drive for the game to play. You can purchase one from the Microsoft Store at this link.

They come in 250, 320 or 500GB sizes. If you do not wish to purchase one from the Microsoft Store you can check your local gaming stores for stock.

I would recommend against purchasing one from sites such as Amazon or Ebay as those may be 3rd party drives and are not covered by Microsoft and will also provide less functionality.

The Xbox 360 4GB models is actually internal flash memory. You cannot play with flash memory sticks or internal flash memory - Either the game requires a physical disk, or it needs to unpack a file > 4GB.

 

Alright... So say i was to delete the saved game from the USB stick that it was downloaded onto, and I were to get the disc version of the game? Would I still need a Hard Drive or would it work fine since it was a disc?

 

You would still need a hard drive to play the game.

Unfortunately, yes. Some games require a hard drive in order to function properly because of the system files on the hard drive.
