It might be what region you are on stopping to code possibly, It is a shame you have encountered this issue, Also I would have to say if it is saying redeemed and it is a pre owned it could also be the problem if pre owned but, I can only suggest double
check all the codes on the xbox.com website on your profile if that still refuses to work then reach out to staff via this method below.

They might be able to tell you the reason why.

order history. Double check which account you signed in through when trying to redeem the codes. Also, did you have a different region selected before purchasing this?

In this case since it is a billing issue I would recommend to
contact Customer Support.

We on the forums don't have the tools to help with this. When you go to
Contact Usto request a callback, follow these steps:

• Step 1 ----Select Xbox One
  
• Step 2 ----Select See other options
  
• Step 3 ----Select topic
  
• Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"
  
• Step 5 ----Select request a call from support
  

Once they call, explain the issue and they will be able to help you.

Changing language/region to English USA did not help. The message was the same: "you can't acquire this item in your currently selected language".

That would explain it. Seems you have to be patient or reach at chat support to check this out.

Try migrating your account region again http://live.xbox.com/accountmigration Sometimes accounts don't migrate properly on the 360 side of things so it would see you as
still being in Ireland and would send up a region error.
