    HELP! Brand new Xbox will not update or work at all!!!


    I got my daughter an Xbox for Christmas and it asked to load an update on turning it on yesterday. Since then I have spent probably 4 hours trying to update it, but the update continuously errors out. I have followed all the directions on the website
    to power cycle many times, power on in the troubleshooting mode, and have even tried to update from a thumb drive, but that errors out too with an E101 error which I believe is a hardware error. I am trying to contact someone at Microsoft, but every option
    I try says it's not available for call or chat. I'm so frustrated. I can't exchange it at the store because there are no replacement units available anywhere now! My poor 10-year-old can't use half her Christmas presents because of this. Any help in fixing
    this or advice on how to actually call Microsoft about this would be much appreciated...

    Quick update: I decided to return the enclosure since it was not working and decided to buy a brand new hard drive that should work (I mean it's Xbox brand so if it doesn't work I'll be a little disappointed)
