Help Accessing account.

Hello, I desperately need help accessing an old account, here is some backstory. I am trying to access my old xbox account that I have not used in over 5 years. I am 17 years old and made the account when I was 9, I was young and have since forgotten my
password for the xbox account and the yahoo email itself. When I attempt to access the Yahoo email that my xbox account is linked to, it sends a verification code to a hotmail account. I have never used hotmail in my life so I presume that the yahoo email
was breached by someone else. Basically what Im saying is that all the account details and security questions related to this account were created over a decade account and I cannot remember them, but I promise you this is my childhood account which holds
many memory’s of characters and games I played through my elementary life, If someone can just

help me talk to a representative Id be grateful and I am sure I can answer questions relating to purchases I made or my mothers credit card information which she had on my account when she would let me buy things. Apology’s if Im saying a lot or am seeming
desperate, truth is I am. Thank you.

If Dad set it up as a child account for his own Microsoft account, then he can find it in the Family section of the
Microsoft Account website. Otherwise, your sole option may be the account recovery process, and that will involve contacting
Xbox Live Support. When prompted, you should decline the virtual agent and perhaps choose a different option (if available), such as requesting a callback.

Hey there Ganja! Let's see what we can do to get things sorted.

If your brother's account used to be an Xbox Live Gold Member, then it has a Microsoft account tied to it. The only Gamertags that don't have Microsoft accounts tied to it are Silver accounts that are made on the console itself and never connected to Xbox Live.

I suggest going through the steps provided on our
xbox.com/forgot page and see if that helps recover any forgotten information.

If the gamertag says "Xbox Live" then that means it has been connected to Xbox Live at some point (with an email address/Microsoft Account attached).

Since you don't remember anything about that Microsoft Account, I suggest using the
Contact Us page to set up a support call with an account specialist. If they're unable to assist, ask to be escalated to the Advocacy Team. They specialize in this type of scenario and would be best equipped
to help you out.
