I did all the 4 fixes mentioned before i made this post. If it makes any difference this only happens when playing SERIES X/SERIES X Enhanced games. If I play a XBOX ONE or XBOX 360 game it will remain on without an issue

I know I'm not HomelessHippo69 but I am also having the exact same issue and I wanted to answer your questions. I also have the Xbox Series X and am playing the Series X version of BF2042

1. The game crashes and/or restarts the xbox within around 15 minutes of playing the multiplayer game. It usually starts by just crashing the game but as I keep re-entering the game and play the crashing eventually turns into a full on shut off and restart of the console. I rarely can even finish a full round without crashing/restart of Xbox. The game seems to crash and/or restart my console in a shorter time period than usual when playing the game with friends. This is only happening when I play Battlefield 2042. Also,
   
2. I have the Xbox Series X|S version installed
   
3. The game is running off the internal drive.
   
4. I will submit a bug report.
   
5. There are no game updates to install. There was a season 2 game update that happened earlier this week but this issue was happening even before the new update released.
   

I think it's an issue with the new controllers for some reason. My Series X controller will freeze once a week or so (always when I'm in the middle of a race unsurprisingly!!)....I'll be driving and my car will suddenly just veer off the road and then be constantly accelerating. Only resets when I remove the battery from it. This is on the Series X so may not be the same of course.

Having said that, it has only happened with the Plug and Play Battery...never happened with normal rechargeables.

Ray tracing will be a standard feature on the Series X so all games played on the new console will be able to take advantage of it.

As for buying a new game, Xbox will be initiating Smart Delivery with the Series X. That means if you currently own a game on your Xbox One you will get the upgraded version of that game (if available) automatically when you purchase the Series X, so you
shouldn't have to buy another copy of Minecraft. You're all good. Happy gaming!

I would like to let you know that Fortnite only supports 1080p on the Xbox Series S. Only the Series X can play the game in 4K.
So when you use 4K in your Series S, the system is going to upscale the game resolution.
