    I had the same damn problem, I uninstalled the LOA Reckoning demo and it fixed the problem, might work for you.

    No I didn't think to clear the cache, didn't know something like that was available.

    I followed your instructions to the dot, and it solved my problem. I'm sure this solution will work for LoA as well.

    Hm this has happened to me before and only explanation I PERSONALLY MYSELF have come up with is possible CD-Rom Drive Failure or w/e you wanna call it.
