Tried using the sync button on the pad (next to the bumper) and the sync button on the console itself (next to the button to turn it on). Pressing the sync button on the pad and console together just caused the lights on the console to spin for a few seconds
before it just goes back to the central light lit up, the pad still wont connect.

It's odd, not the same problem but my console won't turn on now by using the controller, the light just keeps flashing on the pad, I have to touch the power button on console, wait for it to boot up and then it synchs up, very odd!

Yes its the up button on your d-pad, it also turns off laser sights for your main wepon should you have laser instead of tac light, same with your pistols laser sights and tac lights.

For sure, up on the D pad turns your tac light and laser site on and off.
