Hello, I can’t save or share captures on my Xbox application.

"While this is a convenient way to port your clips and screenshots to a PC, saving captures externally means you can’t edit them in Upload Studio or share them on Xbox Live, like clips captured directly

I am very sorry for what you are going through, Yes, game captures on Xbox Network are also saved in the internal storage of the console.

In fact, screenshots are always saved to the console's internal storage, even if they are not uploaded to the Xbox network.

This means you can download game captures from your console even if you no longer have access to the Xbox network.

To download game screenshots from your console, follow these steps:

Open the Guide.

Select Capture and Share.

Select All Captures.

Select the capture you want to download.

Select Download.

Game screenshots will be downloaded to the "Captures" folder on your console.

If you want to delete game captures from your console, you can do so by following these steps:

Open the Guide.

Select Capture and Share.

Select All Captures.

Select the capture you want to delete.

Select Delete.

Deleted game captures will be permanently removed from your console.

Please, check if these options are enabled.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide and select Profile & system > Settings > Preferences > Select Capture & share.

Under “Automatically upload,” make sure you’ve selected Captures by me or games or Captures by me.

If you see Don’t upload selected, you can’t currently upload or share your game clips.

Press Win + G to open Xbox Game Bar, then select Widget Menu > Gallery.

To share a game clip or screenshot, select Open in File Explorer, then use your app of choice to share your capture.

Note Game Bar only shows captures that are saved locally on the Windows device you’re using. Captures uploaded to Xbox are viewable and shareable only in the Xbox mobile app.
