I can not play gears of war 2 in split screen in my xbox one, since when I enter the game with 2 sessions started in the console, the game freezes just after the letters with the legend "gears of war" appear and then After a few seconds the game closes.
The funny thing here is that I had previously played this game on screen divided almost without problems, but for about a week this problem occurs. But I open the game with a single session started in the console the game works without problems. I hope you

CANT PLAY NOW!!!

i hav had the gears 3 game ever since it came out but now it freezes on me. Right after i played split screen with my buddy i cant play on my profile. It freezes on the loading screen, on multi and campaign. i hav deleted all my saved games and status and
it still does the same thing. NEED HELP PLZ!!!!!!

Gears of War 2 freezes

I have been trying to play split screen of Gears of War 2 on my Xbox One. I can play using my profile but when my wife starts Gears of War 2 it freezes at the start menu and after a little bit it goes to the Xbox One home. I tried everything from deleting
her profile and re-downloading it, and to start a training match on submission with a silver account then sign that account out and signing her back in with no results. I don't have my Xbox 360 anymore to troubleshoot the problem on that. I have no clue if
you can clear the hard drive's cache like on 360.

1. Reinstall -unistall GAME

2. Clear local Xbox 360 storage

This has been happening to me on Gears of War 3, and it's also been happening on Gears of War 2. I can play by myself fine, but when I try to split-screen with my girlfriend, it freezes constantly. They had BETTER find a fix for this without having to lose
progress or stats.

i don't know any ways to fix this i have tried everything and my game still freezes i bought the gears of war 4 xbox and love gears of war and rn i can't play gears of war 2

Split Screen.. wow. Actually Gears of War 1 was the last game I had ever played Split Screen.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To play Gears of War 2 split screen on the Xbox Series X with a guest account, try the following steps:

1. Connect a second controller to your Xbox Series X.

2. Launch Gears of War 2.

3. Press the start button on the second controller to sign in as a guest account.

4. Once the guest account is signed in, press the start button on the first controller to start the game.

5. From the main menu, select "Campaign" or "Horde" mode.

6. Once you have selected your game mode, press the start button on the second controller to join the game as a split-screen player.

That's it! You should now be able to play Gears of War 2 split screen on your Xbox Series X with a guest account.
