    I just bought my Xbox One S a couple days ago.

    I also bought the `AfterGlow LVL 5+` Xbox one headset. They work connected to my pc, or phone etc. But when I connect them,

    or any other headset/earbuds to my controller, they don't work. Its as if the Xbox doesn't even know that anything is plugged in.

    I have tried to hard reset my xbox by holding the power button for 10 seconds.

    I have tried reseting it to factory settings.

    I have tried taking out the batteries, and using the usb cable to plug the controller in.

    I've attached pictures of my relevant settings.

    Xbox one controller 3.5mm jack not connecting

    3.5mm jack quit working. Headset works on other controller but I can't use said controller due to other defects. Any fix ideas???

    Does anyone know if the Xbox One or its controller has a 3.5mm jack so I can plug my 3.5mm headset directly ?

    I am using a monitor as well with my PS4 and I have my 3.5mm headset connected to the PS4 controller. I am going to receive an Xbox One soon and I was wondering if I could do the same or will I need an adapter ?

    Yes, I believe you need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack to connect the headset to the socket in the controller for these headphones to work.

    I heard it would work if I connect the mic to xbox via usb, and connect the mic to the 3.5mm adapter jack that goes to mic jack and headset jack. And connect that adapter to my controller. Idk if that is true though

    If it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone Jack on a wired headset, any wireless one must say it’s for Dbox, whether it’s a dongle or connects directly. No USB headsets will work, only 3.5mm to the controller or approved wireless models.

    If the microphone has a 3.5mm input that will fit into the controller MAYBE it will work. If that doesn't work, I recommend using a headset with a 3.5mm jack connected to the controller.

    It could well be the 3.5mm jack socket that has been damaged. If you can, try your headset on a friends controller, to see if it works. The cheapest way around this is a headset adapter, that plugs into the controller and has a 3.5mm jack in it.
