    Headset won't pick up game chat, but picks up party chat just fine.


    As the title says. It seems to be ALL my games as well and not just one specific game. I dont know if it was the latest update or what, but i hope i can get some help with this soon! Its hard to play crossplatform games when i need to be in an xbox party
    for them to hear me.

    If you're in party chat, you can set your chat audio to come through both the headset and the tv speakers. Then the recording device you use will pick up the party chat. This is only the case if you're using a capture card.

    Party chat should work fine whilst broadcasting. The broadcast will only pick up your mic from the party though.

    I was having the same problem. My voice was being picked up in party chat but not in in-game chat.

    I done the hard reset and now I can chat in both party and just in-game.

    Settings for your account. Check your settings and make sure you allow audio to be shared outside of Xbox Live. In addition, members of your party must
    also opt-in to share their voice chat on stream.

    Hey there,

    In order to hear game audio through headphones on the Xbox 360, you will need a headset that plugs into the RCA ports on the back of the console. Headsets through the controller will only pick up voice for party/game chat. Hope this helps!
