    Headset with Xbox One S Controller not producing audio


    I recently got a new xbox one s controller and a new headset with a jack. I can hear everyone and everything just fine; however, no audio is being produced. On party chat my gamertag pops up as if I am talking but no one can hear me.

    Originally I thought it was an issue with the controller and/or headset, but connecting my headset to my controller (via jack) and my controller to my pc (via wireless adapter) and it produces audio just fine. Even putting different headsets to my controller
    produces audio just fine on my pc and putting the original headset to the jack on my pc works fine.

    I'm guessing that there may be something wrong with my console. Any help would be appreciated!

    What make/model headset are you using? Do you experience the same issue if you try your headset with a different controller?

    Also, are you enrolled in the Insider Preview program?

    Thanks for the reply, I will check out his audio settings.

    We've checked with two other controllers and cables etc and they all seem to produce the same result, works for while then the mike stops.

    I'll try and convince my other son to try one of the headsets for while and see if the problem happens on his Xbox one S. (Worth a try)

    Microsoft haven't produced an Xbox specific microphone, no.

    The only option is either to use a headset with a built-in microphone or find a mic that can be used via the 3.5mm audio port on the controller

    I was having the same problem... Even in a Race on Forza 5 the audio cuts at randon moments, some time it cuts several times in a row and then back to normal working for a randon period... I get the MS Xbox One Stereo Headset bundle (Adapter + Headset).
    I my case, the only issues was the audio cuts and randon controller freezes, my headset don't produce static, noise or anything like that.
