Headset sound pops at random.

My headset just pops at random while playing any game. I tried multiple solutions, none worked. I'm using a third party headset that works with any other device.

No-popping sound

Do you ever feel a little sad or disappointed when an achievement "pops", but doesn't make the telltale "popping" sound? I think it's important because sometimes you might miss the fact that you got an achievement at all.

You can try testing with a different controller to find out if it is the controller or the headset compatibility.

You might also try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this as I have had it resolve some headset issues..

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

I have the same problem with SONY HT-ST 5000 soundbar.

Random cut outs and the sound is full of cracking/popping sounds.

PCM sounds fine.

Sounds like he may have a loose wire in the headset. Please have him try a different headset. If there is no popping sound coming from his end with a different one then that would be the issue.

Just adding my name to the list of users who get the popping sounds. I just got the headset, grabbed the most recent update, and I get faintly popping crackling sounds while I play games and watch Netflix. I've been very disappointed with MS so far this
new generation. I hope they can update soon because it sounds like a software issue with the adapter and not the headset itself.
