Headset on Wired PDP xbox one controler

I recently bought a controller to play on pc. At first, everything was working fine, but a few weeks after the purchase, the audio stopped working through the controller. The computer detects the headset, but there's no sound coming from it. the pilot
is updated, I haven't changed anything and it just won't work :/

Was your old controller also a PDP one? Least I assume your Wired Purple one is a PDP model?

Some headsets can have issues if they are plugged into a wired controller, most notably Turtle Beach Recon ones

The PDP controller you mentioned, specifically the PDP Wired Controller for Xbox One and Windows, is not compatible with the Xbox 360.

As for headsets, the Xbox 360 has its own proprietary headset port, so you'll need to use a headset that's specifically designed for the Xbox 360. Microsoft's official headset for the Xbox 360 is the Xbox 360 Headset, which plugs directly into the controller. Other third-party options are available as well, such as the Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 or the Tritton AX 180.

Keep in mind that if you're using a wireless controller, you'll need a wired headset or an additional wireless adapter to connect your wireless headset to your controller.

Sorry to hear it. Please try restarting your pc to see if that helps. If it doesn't then it may be the 3.5 mm jack on the controller. You could try sending it in for repairs or see if an Xbox Headset Adapter will work
