    Headset Not Working with Patrol Tech Special Edition Controller


    Hi everybody. I use a Kotion Each g9000 headset with my regular, run of the mill xbox one x controller and it works fine. I plug it into the Patrol Tech controller I just got a few days ago, and nothing works. No audio output, mic didn't work as far as I
    could tell. Looked like the system could recognize it was even in the controller, but that there was a malfunction I haven't been able to get any answers on. Running out of ideas on how to fix this, because it's pretty disappointing a hypothetically better
    controller isn't working to the same degree as a regular one.

    Xbox Controller Audio Issues

    I have two Xbox one controllers; one halo themed one, and the patrol tech controller as well. When I have my headset plugged into my halo controller, I have no issues. My recently bought patrol tech controller, however, does not play audio through my headset
    whenever I have it plugged in. Doesn’t anybody know why, have a solution, or have a similar problem? Thanks.

    Go to Settings > Kinect and Devices > Devices and Accessories > More Options > Assign or Re-assign your profile to the controller

    Go back one step to Configure > Button Mapping > Last option on lower left is Turn on Vibration

    Thank you for contacting Forum support!

    As shown on
    xbox.com/microsoft store     Patrol Tech controller is something we can support.

    If the control is within the 90 day warranty we are able to support the device, but if there is no console to register the control. We would need the Proof of purchase since it would not be registered in the system for the activation day.

    Though it all depends on where the control was purchased. Example As stated: "Doesn't apply to my region (we have different warranty laws)". If the control was bought at a local store, then it's best to go to the local store and go based on the warranty
    they provided.

    I recommend if there is no console to register the control with to either use a friends console and temporally register it to the account

    Register Device    , or to contact a live agent to see how they may assist. Contact us (Proof of purchase needed)

    [If there was a console already register with the control they would see the warranty information (since the control was used on it) and wouldn't need Proof of purchase]

    Whats wrong with my controller??

    My Halo 3: ODST special edition controller does this too, I find if I plug in a wired headset a few times and jiggle it around it usually fixes it.

    Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the headsets not working with the Console.

    • When trying to use the headset(s), did you use one controller or multiple controllers?
    • Have you tried a plain cheap pair of headphones with the controller?
    • What type of headset is being used? (Turtle Beach, Afterglow, Stereo headset, Chat headset,
      etc)
    • What type of
      controller is being used? (Special Edition
      Controller, Standard Xbox
      Controller, 3rd party
      controller, etc)
    • Under Devices & Accessories >
      ..., does it show the headset connected and is "Volume" available?

    Since the headsets work with other products, that causes me to believe it is either the controller port or that they are not compatible.
    Make sure to change the batteries in the
    controller as well. Here is a link to help with
    Xbox One Chat Headset troubleshooting as
    well.
