    Headset not permitted when using Xbox app to stream games from Xbox One


    My son uses the Xbox app on his PC to play games from our Xbox One. This is working like it should. The only thing that doesn't work is using his headset. It used to work properly, but for unclear reasons it stopped.

    It's telling him that he has no permission. I have parental control over his @Hotmail.com account that he uses also for Xbox. I permitted him everything I could and it is still complaining. Am I missing the obvious?

    no party chat when streaming xbox app.

    Hello i am using the xbox app to stream my xbox one. I also use Open Broadcaster. My setup is. Xbox one to play halo 5. The controller and headset are connected to the xbox. I use my laptop to run obs and the xbox app. I have the app running on a separate
    monitor so i can capture it with obs. That all works. When I start to stream a game using the app, I lose all sound in my headset via the controller connected to my xbox. Does anybody know the solution? I can hear game and party chat coming from my pc speakers.
    even when i connect my headset to the pc I can hear them. But my mic wont work that way either. I would prefer my mic to be connected to the controller via xbox. so any help would be great thanks.

    xbox one twitch streaming?

    I stream with twitch app from xbox one, my viewers can hear game sound but cant hear me when I try to respond to chat. I use standard xbox one headset,please help.

    No one here can give you any kind of answer on that. You can use a USB headset via a PC and then stream the game from the Xbox using the APP; some users do this.

    The only way you can get sound from your console into your headset is to plug the headset into the audio output on your monitor.

    Or using the Xbox companion app to stream the console to your PC

    Is this with all games or only one?

    Are you playing Windows 10 games or streaming Xbox One games through the Xbox App when this happens?

    If you plug the headset directly into the PC instead of into the controller, does this still happen (for instance playing the same game, or even when not gaming - like listening to music)?

    I would imagine the problem could be arising from plugging the headset into the controller, which is more meant for console use, while on PC you'd be better off plugging the headset into your PC directly, but let us know how you get on.

    Another issue I'm running into with the headset adapter + windows 10 streaming:

    I docked my surface pro 2 into the docking station, which has a wired PC microphone plugged in. When I start playing (Rainbow Six Siege), the game audio is coming through my headset adapter (via the Xbos Stereo Headset), but the Windows 10 Xbox app is utilizing
    my wired PC microphone instead of the Stereo Headset/Headset Adapter. I can't figure out a way to force the streaming app to use the microphone plugged into my controller...

    (not sure if I should document this issue in another thread)

    It seems there may be some minor issues between the Windows 10 Xbox streaming application when used with the Xbox Headset Adapter.
