    Headset mic no longer working in game chat


    None of my headset mics are working in game chat. They work fine for sound and in party chat, in game i can hear other people and the game audio settings register my mic is working, but noone hears me. I have tried all the normal fixes with no luck.
    Has something changed?

    the problem is if you plug in the included headset to your controller, it''s going automatically relegate all chat to that channel, sending and receiving ...when you don't have a mic plugged in, it relegates chat receiving to the same audio channel as game
    sound, i.e. you hear chat on your TV, speakers, or headset but the kinnect is the mic...but a as you plug something into the cotroller, then both sending and receiving chat is relegated there, so you no longer hear chat on your TV, speakers or premium headset

    Stereo headset randomly stopped working

    I have the same issue.

    I have a headset adapter and a pair of music headphones w in-line mic that I've used for months and the mic no longer works w the xbox one. Still works w phone, so it didn't break.

    The headset adapter works w my 360 headset and the 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, so it's not the controller. All firmware is up to date. There was a console update, and the mic hasn't worked for party chat since then.

    Can't figure out why it stopped working.

    May I know what exactly happens when you join game chat? Does your mic work fine in party chat?
    Is your headset/mic connected directly to your PC or through your Xbox controller?
    What's your headset/mic make & model?

    Kinnect in game chat on crossplay

    It works fine with a headset its only when your in game chat rather than a party chat whoever is using the Kinnect cannot be heard by the others on cross platform but mic and headset no work problems. My friend has the Kinnect but no headset there in lies
    the problems.

    Works for me...I run optic out from my TV into my headset transmitter, did a wire solder into the included xb 1 chat headset and have full chat/game audio and mic in my TB headset.
