    Headset fixing


    I play on Xbox series x and I bought the Turtle Beach Recon Chat and while I can hear Xbox parties and fortnite voice channels, I can't hear the game itself. I know about the chat mixer but that doesn't do anything besides remove background noise which doesn't help. How can I make game audio also come into my headset?

    I understand that you are experiencing issues with your headset not working.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please update your controller firmware by plugging in your controller into the console using a USB cable. Go to Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories. Select your controller and check for firmware updates.

    And then check audio settings. To do this, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Navigate to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories. Make sure the headset mic is toggled to "On" and adjust the chat mixer settings.

    Next is to power cycle your console. Turn off your Xbox completely and unplug it from the power source for at least 10 minutes. This clears the cache and can resolve software glitches.

    If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly plug your headset into a different controller to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the controller or the headset.
