  1. Headset fail Xbox series s

My Xbox Series S seems to keep stopping my mic and hearing to no longer work out of nowhere. I thought it was my headset so I got a new one which worked for a couple days then decided to do the same thing again. I was in a party talking mid match when it decided to cut out on me showing that I'm muted without the option to unmute. I go into the Xbox accessories app and when I go over to headset it doesn't give me any option to change or test anything but my controller. Restarting did nothing and everything seems to be up to date as far as I'm aware. Not sure what else to do but any help would be appreciated

    :)

Hi there! This is Virginia O.

I understand that you are experiencing issues being muted in a party.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check privacy settings.Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to "Profile & system" > "Settings" > "Account" > "Privacy & online safety".

Ensure that your privacy settings allow for communication and multiplayer.

And then update Controller Firmware. Connect your controller to your Xbox Series S with a USB cable. Go to "Settings" > "Devices & connections" > "Accessories".

Select your controller and then select "Device info". If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to update your controller.

Next is to test with another controller. Kindly use a different controller to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the controller or the console.

Then check audio settings. Press the Xbox button on your controller, then go to "Profile & system" > "Settings" > "Devices & connections" > "Accessories".

Please select the controller that has your headset attached, then select "Volume". Make sure that the Mic monitoring slider is not set to zero and adjust the Headset chat mixer slider to balance the game and chat audio.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    One S headsets

Well, if you need a wireless headset, I recommend this one Xbox Wireless Headset | Xbox as it is compatible with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles.

No, not yet. It might be possible sometime in the future, if Microsoft decide to release a VR headset for the Xbox Series X|S consoles.
