Headset audio suddenly stopped working

Hi,

So recently I bought a HyperX Cloud S 7.1 Gaming Headset around 2 weeks ago for my Windows 11 Laptop. However today I left it along with my HP laptop to go eat lunch. Which the audio perfectly worked fine before I went. When I came back the audio suddenly stopped working when I played a video, I checked first to see if there was any damage to the wire, but there was none. Then I checked settings afterwards to see if my headsets audio was muted or not, it wasn't. So, then I went to the troubleshooting, When I ran it the beep that the troubleshooter plays didn't work. Then the troubleshooter told me that there was a problem with the audio driver. Then I let the troubleshooter try updating and reinstalling the driver, then it told me that it wasn't able to fix the problem. I also tried using it on another device, the audio did not work either. Other headsets audio seems to work perfectly fine on my pc, except for this one.

Headsets are tricky to figure out why they suddenly stopped working. It could be one of the wires in the headset got bent or snapped. It could be that one of the audio input pins got bent.

Lets try to update the software of the headphones with these steps:

Right-click on the start menu and select the Device Manager. Then right-click on Audio inputs and outputs and choose Scan for hardware changes. It will automatically search and install the latest version of the audio driver in your system.
