Headset Audio and mic cutting out issue through a USB wireless and 3.5mm controller headset

headset connections cuts out and makes skipping noises every 18 seconds (cannot hear sound and mic cuts out also), only while playing games, same issue with different headset and through a USB headset directly to an Xbox and through 3.5mm through the controller.

This issue happens with GOW 5 and with Modern Warefare

but not with apps like youtube.

    - Thanks

    :)

Headset Audio and mic cutting out issue through a USB wireless and 3.5mm controller headset

Hello! There might be many solutions, but here's a few. One, your game audio in Settings might be lowered. Two, your mic or mic jack on your controller or mic might be damaged. Three, the games might have their audio lowered. If you have any questions, reply
to me below, or visit the links provided below:

    External mic

I was about to purchase a razer wolverine ultimate controller and was wondering if i could hook that up to my external mic it seems to have a audio 3.5mm jack and would there be any difference if i was using a wireless headset?
Yes the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Controller has a 3.5mm jack and you would be able to use any headset with a 3.5mm jack. Depending on the type of wireless headset you have you can hook it up through the xbox or through
the controller. Hope this helps :)

How do i connect a wireless headset to my Xbox One S?

Unfortunately this particular headset doesn't work with the xbox one. I believe this is a wireless only headset that comes with a USB wireless dongle. Xbox uses it own codec through USB so to use this function it would have to be a licensed product for
xbox. I have a similar issue, mine fortunately could hook through optical an has the 3.5mm jack so I could still use chat. Using the 3.5mm jack on the controller most headsets will function through there. USB wise it will have to be a licensed headset only.

Do Headphones work on the Console?

    Hi AdamFPVY

Looks like the headset is designed for PC gaming and not Xbox. Consoles only support the 3.5mm connection (plugs directly into the controller) or the consoles proprietary wireless connection. Some headsets have a base station that uses USB to power it, but
no audio is available through USB on the console.

Connecting a compatible headset to your Xbox Wireless Controller | Xbox Support

    Hope that helps.

    Headset

Hi, which type of headset is he using?

if he is using a cabled hedset through the adapter for the controller you can follow this guide:

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one/accessories

If he is using a wireless headset or an headset directly connected to the controller with the 3.5mm jack then follow you can follow the followings steps: open the xbox guide -> go to the "system" tab -> if the headset is connected you will find "audio" in
this tab -> open "audio" and check if "headset mic" is on
