Headset attached to controller, Mic not working for Fortnite

Hello,

we are playing Fortnite on an Xbox one. While the other players can be heard we are not able to talk to them anymore.

The headset has no problem. It is compatible because it used to work. We have checked all the settings both in Fortnite as well as on the xbox. Any suggestions?

Before going any further, have you tried seeing if your microphone works via xbox party chat or through a voice message?

You can try just doing a simple power cycle. Sometimes it's the simple things that help.

Go to http://tinyurl.com/ut95pm6 and follow through with all of the suggestions, especially making sure the system and family settings are correct. If so, after a hard reset, hold the power button for 10s then unplug for 10s, then check you NAT settings.
This or the family settings is likely the case since you are experiencing the problem with just Fortnite.
