Headset and Controller issues....HELP

Hello,

Out of 4 controllers, only 2 of them will allow a headset to work, they did work fine till recently. This has been tried with serval headsets and consoles making the problem the controller!

What has went wrong and can it be fixed, i've updated the software with no avail, these are too expensive to just buy another.

You normally see that Icon when a headset is not detected for the logged in account. It could be an issues with either the headset or the controller. If you have a different headset or controller try swapping things around to see if that helps resolve the
issue

if that doesn't work, a cheaper alternative to the standard controllers is the Afterglow wired controller for Xbox One (about half the price of a standard controller)

If you Setup a headset adapter you bypass the 3.5mm socket they may have gone faulty.

It could be that the headphone jack on the controller stopped working. In that case no, you can't fix it.

Off brand and wired controllers seem to have issues with head set. The headsets my also require an attachment to be plugged into the controller. Try syncing the controller with the headset in. Hope that helps.
