    Headphones Troubles


    I recently bought a pair of Soundcore Life Q20+ Headphones for my cell phone and PC, but shortly after my xbox headset broke.

    All good, except my Q20s have an issue.

    The headphones can't pair directly to the console, which is not an issue because they have an aux jack that lets me plug them straight into the controller.

    Here's where the problem starts

    While the audio comes through fine, just without active noise cancelling (a manufacturer thing, unrelated), the microphone does not pick up, and I can't find anything related to this issue relating to Xbox, only PC, and im still looking to see if it's also a manufacturer issue.

    I was wondering if it's a compatibility issue or if using aux with the controller disables microphones on some products.

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your headphones. To start off, can you try a different pair to see if there's any change? This will help us narrow down this issue to either your headphones or your controller.

    This has been a problem for me in the past as well actually. The exact same thing happened.

    In my case it was the controller headphone Jack port. They go out rather quickly if you plug and unplug the headphones often. What I did was I bought one of the adapters that are used for if you do not have a controller with a headphone Jack port like the
    older style controllers.

    It worked.

    The port on the adapters seem to be ALOT sturdier than the ports on the controllers sadly.

    The adapters are cheaper than a new controller or wireless headphones.

    I don't think the sounds are that bad, it could be because I am using true 5.1 headphones, or a true 5.1 surround system, but I have no trouble locating people by sounds.
