    Headphones Not Working [Alpha Skip Ahead]


    I have noticed that regular headphones don't appear to be working in Alpha Skip Ahead (Connected to the controller).

    I can use headsets / headphones with a microphone, but normal headphones don't work (3 pole connector).

    When connected I don't get any system or game / app sounds.

    The audio panel shows the mute button, volume control and mic monitoring control but the party chat / game mix control is disabled (greyed out).

    I have rebooted, unplugged, and re-plugged the headphones multiple times and tried multiple controllers and the behavior is the same. I have also verified that the headphones work on other devices.

    I have tested on both older controllers (without Bluetooth) and my Elite Series 2 and the behavior is identical.

    Has anyone else had this problem? I have reported it through the console! Gamertag: KirkyLAD#6376

    In the alpha skip ahead, still no update. "Alpha Skip Ahead" clearly means something else... :')

    Fill out a detailed report, giving make and model of headset you use and send it to the development team.

    I am in Alpha Skip ahead and sometimes get these issues. You could try backing out of the Insider program, to a public build and seeing if things work.

    Remember Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead are the cutting edge OS builds and can be full of bugs.

    Well if he's in the insider programn then he got a update today had the same issue the alpha & apha skip ahead builds are broken for 50% of the people that are ih that group so don't update your console if you're in alpha or alpha skip ahead
