Headphones/Chat Yes or no??

Curious to see what everyone thinks of using headphones for the in-game audio and do you use or not use chat. To be honest, I'm starting to play without any sound because I get tired of listening to all the pros just bashing and abusing people that don't
get 30 kills per game. I play COD and simply want to have fun. There are a lot that I don't mind listening to but they are not only good at the game, they understand that not everyone is a "sniper" or can play to their level. I don't mind being made fun of
(in the right way) but I ain't gonna listen to somebody start swearing at me or any other player just because I happen to be a so-so player. What do you think??

When I played on XBL i would either be in private chat or in-game chat, if things got silly in the in-game chat I would just mute the people causing the problem (after letting them know what I thought of them), as a last resort I used the mute all button.

 

Pretty sad isn't it?? I don't mind people getting excited, that's what is supposed to happen but some of the stuff I have heard is simply idiotic. And yes, to those who say then don't play, I choose to play because that is what these games are for: to PLAY.
Not abuse, ridicule or just swear til you die in order to make yourself feel superior to others. One day I'll figure out how to report people!!!!

 

I don't mind the banter, it's pretty much impossible to offend me, in real life my sentences contain more profane words than normal ones...

 

I agree with you to a point. The words don't bother me at all. Heard them and said them all before (don't tell mom). I have a problem with the viciousness of some of the attacks. Hearing an obviously mature male start going off on a young kid is where I

[/quote]I believe you reap what you sow in life, so if someone acts like a fool regardless of age they are treated like a fool (within reason of course).

 

I always wear a headset, be that in Party or Game chat. I love talking to others, whether that be copping abuse, giving abuse or actually getting along and enjoying their company.

 

I used to use headphones for in-game sound while late at night, but no longer do that. I use the headset while talking to friends either in party chat or game chat, but prefer party chat. While on my own I don't use my headset, but have it plugged in so
that the talking and other weird noises others make doesn't come through the speakers.
