Headphones and iPhone xboxapp

So when on my xbox i can join a party and hear the game perfectly but cant hear anyone and they cant hear me. Only when i use my iphone to connect to the xbox app and that same party can we hear and speak to each other. Ive only had this issue for about
a week. I want to be able to only use my headset and not have to use my phone. Please help

I had a similar problem with my Xbox in my controller I eventually discovered that if I do a complete shutdown and startup it would allow me to hear and talk. After a little more research I found out it's some settings in your router that need to be adjusted
or else when you do power saving it doesn't send the signal to the router to reset it. Try the steps in this link

you need headphones with cables, the wireless ones don’t work just like the earphones of iphone

get the x31s and an rca to headphone cable so you can use the headphones with anything that has a headphone slot.

Thats what i did and i use them for my tv/dvd, laptop, music player, iphone and ps3 (no voice communication)

headphones about £55 cable £1.50.
