Headphone jack quit working again.

So I’ve had the xbox one S for about a year and within this one single year I’ve had to buy 3 separate controllers because the headphone jacks keep “breaking” out of complete nowhere. Just got this brand new controller for Christmas and the headphone jack quit out on me in the middle of talking in party chat. This is absolutely stupid that you make the headphone jacks so weak and flimsy, and break so fast. 3 controllers in a year solely because of the headphone ports is absurd! I love playing on my Xbox and the main thing I do is connect with friends I can’t connect with in person and the majority of the time I’ve had this console it’s been a fight to be able to talk to them. Can I get a new controller or do I yet again have to pull together what money I can find to go purchase a new controller AGAIN????

It didn’t get dropped and then stop working though, it was sitting on my counter as I was standing next to it. Was in the middle of a sentence when I grabbed the controller and then click mic stopped working and does crackly stuff when I move the port around and yes it is loose but wasn’t like that before. I don’t have the small tools to pull this thing apart and try to fix it. The port works, I registers my headset hooked up but doesn’t register a working mic, even though the headset is also a brand new rig headset. Made sure the headset isn’t what’s wrong

I’m also not sure if it’s still under warranty. I don’t know how long that lasts but I denied the added warranty option because it was an extra $30 and I couldn’t afford that with Christmas. Is there an automatic warranty and if so for how long?

the headphone jack is not actually soldered into place, it is sandwiched between 2 boards that presses the pins against the required pads, they can dislodge if knocked hard or pulled sideways, i have repaired loads of them. easy to fix too.

Hello, the headphones has both USB and jack port, I used to jack with my controller, no adapter is needed.
