    Headphone audio not doing what it should


    Is anyobe else having problems with the audio settings for the headphones?

    Whenever i put only voices like party chat on to go to my headphones every audio goes to it so i can't hear people talking because the game is too load and whenever i want to hear the game (because some games i need to hear foot steps) i can't because i cant control how loud somethibg is or where i want it to play (like on the tv or headset)

    Hi,

    If you plug in headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack do you hear audio?

    Are you sure the audio volume is turned up on your monitor settings?

    What 'speakers' did you buy?

    Most PC type speakers that connect via a 3.5mm audio jack should work. However, as the audio output port doesn't provide power, you'll need a set of powered speakers connected to the mains supply.

    I should note that the headphone audio is working perfectly. It's just the microphone.

    Audio to headphones only?

    If you go into your Xbox settings and then to the audio settings, you should see an option for audio output. Click on that and select headphones only. Hope that helps.

    Shouldn't have any effect on the audio coming from the chat adapter. The available audio settings should only effect the HDMI audio and optical out audio.

    In game audio options will effect the audio quality of headsets or headphone using the chat adapter as the audio source though.

    The red & white plugs that come with the headset need to be connected to the xbox audio cables, this should solve the problem. Another possiblity is to plug the green headphone plug on the end of the headset into the TV's headphone jack.
