HDR screenshots always tell its not possible to load and to try later, showing only SDR...

In addition to Arminator's comments, HDR is best set to 'Auto' on your TV/monitor.

Setting it to always on won't look right for SDR content, luminecence and colour will be all wrong on SDR games and video content with HDR forced to on.

With HDR set to Auto, your display will only use HDR when HDR content is detected.

I've tried

Switching the YCC 4:2:2 on and off.

Hard Reset

So far I've only tried that but I think there's not much I can do to fix a Game DVR issue. My HDR works when I play games but it dies on me when I view DVR HDR screenshots.

The problem manifested it self for the first time in December 18, 2018. Everything before that, the screenshots looked better in HDR than SDR form.

Did not work still only SDR screenshots.. maybe I have to try system reset?

You and the Xbox support team told me that this issue has been in preview before. I don't know if it's true because I don't see anything like these being posted before. The HDR screenshot complain I mostly see is that the picture is too dark but I didn't
mind that since the HDR colors were better looking than SDR.

Now, DVR HDR screenshots look like they were taken from the The Great Depression. It saddens me that the quality of the HDR screenshots vanished away from one day to the next.

As already stated, there’s no HDR support for Outer Worlds, yet - but it being added by a patch later is a possibility, Unreal Engine 4 does support it quite well. Personally, I’m incredibly surprised that it wasn’t supported from day one, the visual style
of the game would suit it really well, it already pops in SDR, and if implemented well, HDR would look absolutely amazing in TOW.
