    After purchasing my Xbox One X I noticed some games and apps would have terrible HDR support. I played with my settings a little bit and noticed that two things 'fixed' my problems. When using an app, such as Netlfix, I noticed a much better image quality
    after disabling YCC 4:2:2 in my settings. Before disabling this setting there was green 'artifacts' while watching HDR content on the One X. After disabling this feature, titles such as Stranger Things looked much better while using the app. I also noticed
    that launching some games that support HDR on the One X appeared 'Washed Out. After pressing the guide button, returning to home, then reselecting the title I was trying to play without quitting the game would fix the 'Washed Out' look.

    Will HDR for games like Gears of War have issues since the game is 1080p but supports HDR?

    The surge protector wouldn't cause issues with HDR, but you still shouldn't use one as the console is already protected. Using a protector on the Xbox one can cause severe instability issues.

    Have you connected your console to an HDMI that supports HDR? On many TV's, not all HDMI ports have HDR support. Also, have you enabled HDR on the source HDMI you have your console connected to? HDR is not on by default. HDR is already enabled for Smart
    TV apps.

    Hi there, i had the same problem with the last update, i bought and sell 3 xbox's until now, because of this problem, yesterday i said, i wont play untill i fix it.

    So i have the X1X, i turned the xbox dvr off, i said maybe it's interrupting the 4k content,,, then i opened the console and i cleaned it very well and unplugged everything then plugged it, in case of some voltage issues, then i assembled it and i put
    it in a very well ventilated place.

    So after this i'm making sure that the hardware is troublshooted very well..so now i must go on software. I was thinking about flashing it with a new firmware from an external hdd or usb stick, so i said trying somthings first maybe i dont need to flash
    it.

    At last, i turned off 4K and hdr from tv,, then i turned the hdr off from my x1x, then i did a full power cycle for my console,, then i tried ac odessey that was horrible, then i played it for a while (15-30 minutes),

    Today i turned the 4k and hdr on my tv then my console and i noticed that everything is getting better.

    Now i had no problem with moving white edges. The only problem still now is texture poping up...but i feel like it's better than before..and the textures are loading faster than before and the picture is getting healed slowly.

    But microsoft must find a solution to these problems,,, people are still using xbox one and they will run to playstation or wii because of these problems.

    Went through all of that. The S works fine, but the X has been messed up since the most recent batch of updates.

    I think that xbox one have a memory about how you use your xbox,,, so you should try different things and wait,, dont expect an immediate fix.

    I have the exact same problem. Have tried everything... but nothing works. Blacks on oled just appear grey. Xbox detects tv as HDR10, so there shouldnt be an issue... tried few cables, different inputs, etc. Hdr from other sources - Firestick looks as
    it should, great. Tried my friends PS4 pro and that also works, so its not a problem in tv. Very sad that MS couldnt fix that issue. I will have to trade it for PS4 if they dont fix that SOON.
