HDR issue not fixed with last firmware...

Every time HDR kicks in on my console on forza, UHD blurays or Netflix the image becomes dull, dark and washed out.

The tv plays HDR perfectly fine using the tv's built In Netflix app. I've tried all picture modes on the tv I.e vivid, game, odd etc and All do the same with hdr content from the console. I note that the last firmware update states part of it was to fix
washed out images using HDR on certain tv's. Could it be my one has slipped through the net?

Is there anything New?

For me, i have some HDR Problems when the xbox Switches from HDR to NoHDR (Dashobard).

But thats an Xbox issue, for you i really thing its an LG Firmware issue.

Latest firmware update corrects the HDR bugs, you should be getting proper black levels now.

Though be aware because HDR10 is a static unlike Dolby Vision HDR which is dynamic, even with the fixed firmware on some TV's because of the way they optimize their HDR10 you will get a dim looking display with HDR active, that's not an Xbox or TV problem
but a flaw in HDR10 itself. Ideally Xbox would offer the option to purchase a Dolby Vision license so at least for those movies with DV HDR you can avoid these kinds of problems.

If your TV does not have HDR I would first consult the manufacturers web site to check they did not issue a firmware update that adds support for HDR. Apart from this the only way to get HDR would then be to purchase a new TV/monitor that supports HDR10.

That's a great sign! If it worked with the monitor, it means that this is not a hardware issue on your console. As I tought from the beginning, this is probably just an incompatibility with the TV firmware and the console firmware that is making HDR not being processed correctly.
