    HDMI not connected


    My Xbox one is in low resolution and I try to change that by going to tv and oneguide.. audios & video.. but hdmi not connected. Have have done the cold reboot ( holding Xbox button for 10 seconds) and holding Xbox button and eject button until second beep.
    I have changed hdmi cords. I’m not sure what else I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Connect your Xbox 360 Console to an HDTV or monitor using HDMI Cable

    If your Xbox 360 console has an HDMI port, you can easily connect an HDTV or high-definition monitor to your console using the HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) cable.

    Here is how:

    • First, you need to connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI port.
    • You have to connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI input on your HDTV or monitor.
    • After connecting the cable properly, turn on your TV and console.
    If the Xbox Dashboard doesn’t appear, you might need to change the video input setting.

    The console automatically uses the default display settings. But you can also change the settings on the console to improve the video display.

    Note: All Original Xbox consoles do not have an HDMI port.

    HDMI to DVI cable question

    If I were to use a HDMI to DVI Cable to connect my Xbox to my monitor will the Xbox recognise it to be connected with HDMI? On minecraft you must use a HDMI cable to play split screen, so will it see thats I'm connected with HDMI and allow me to play split
    screen? Not a big deal just wondering.

    Hi, on the Xbox One X as with all of the Xbox One range, there are two HDMI connections. One is an HDMI-Out and one is an HDMI-In. You will see next the HDMI connector a label describing what HDMI it is. You connect the included 4K HDMI cable to the HDMI-Out
    to display the console on your TV. The HDMI-In is optional. It can be used to connect a Cable or Satellite receiver to your console.

    My buddy gave me an original Xbox.one and I know it works but for some reason I can't get it to output on HDMI to any display.

    Are you sure you’re connecting it to the HDMI out and not the HDMI in?

    Are you using an HDMI cable for connection or other means.

    3D will only work through an HDMI connection, please could you try using an HDMI cable to see if this rectifies the problem.
