  1. HDMI-CEC still controlling Xbox

    Hi all,

I have a Series S and Series X in the same room.

One on the TV and one on a monitor on the opposite side of the room for family gaming sessions.

The series S is connected to the TV and can be controlled using the TV remote however, the remote has started controlling the Series X too meaning when I'm watching TV in the living room and my son is playing Xbox on the monitor, I'm either turning the console off or putting random inputs into the game via the remote. I've tried Google and searching and for the most part it's people complaining that they can't get this to work!

I don't have an issue with it on the Series as we use this for streaming and media however the Series X is solely for gaming and hooked up to a completely different screen on the other side of the room. It keeps happening, much to my son's annoyance when he's final 5 on Fortnite!

    Help!

How does TV work with voice.

You can control your Set Top Box (STB) if it supports HDMI-CEC. You maybe able to control your TV, but again it needs to support HDMI-CEC.

Some STBs do not feature HDMI-CEC protocol (e.g. Sky HD STB), which means it can't be controlled via Xbox One. You need a Sky remote.

Xbox One Passthrough work when off?

I don't know what anynet is, nor do I know if "HDMI control" and HDMI-CEC are the same thing, but HDMI-CEC is supported according to MS.

    Xbox One HDMI CEC

    translation

    Good afternoon.

Please return HDMI CEC, after the last update, this function has disappeared, it is very convenient.

    Thank you in advance!
xbox does not support hdmi cec, but it controls tv's via infrared, check to see if this is still setup on your console and re programme if needed.

xbox не поддерживает hdmi cec, но контролирует ТВ через ИК-порт, проверьте, все ли еще настроено на вашей консоли, и перепрограммируйте, если необходимо.

How to use xbox series x console to control my tv

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello Christopher, generalemte this is possible with newer TDs that also receive information through hdmi ARC or eARC from your TV.

The console can not control all aspects of the TV, but to see what it can control must activate in the console the HDMI-CEC option

Go to settings»TV & Display Settings»Device Control HDM-Cec and choose the other settings you want.

How do I control other devices using HDMI-CEC?
