    The answers is, "No" this will not be causing your HDD any problems, however, it can be time and resource-consuming, so as sated by Xbox Forums Ambassador

    I recommend you buy a 1TB external hard drive to solve this problem of having to be uninstalling games all the time.

    install games to HDD help prolong the disk drive life. I would try and wait.

    Keep in mind mechincal hdds do fail quite often they have a limited life and can become corrupt

    Not so much ssd which is longer life and less moving parts
