    HDCP issues


    I am just now encountering this problem after installing the July update. My set up has been the same ever since I first got my Day One Xbox One:

    Pace TiVo box

    Xbox One

    Sony STR-DH520

    Samsung UN60F7100

    I have noticed though that going to Settings & Messages>Settings>Network (or Video/Audio) on the TiVo box sometimes resets the authentication and I am able to watch tv as normal.

    Vert irritating though!

    Hey there, TheGreatestAjax! I'm very sorry to see any issues you may be having with your set top box and your Xbox One. This thread is a bit old, and the issue was resolved a few updates ago. If you need further assistance, please post up a new thread detailing
    what you're running into, your set top box model information (like you provided here), and troubleshooting you've completed. This way our community can get you the individual support that works best on the forums. HDCP issues :)

    I know this isn't super helpful, but a workaround that's quicker than rebooting your xbox is to unplug your hdmi input cable from the xbox and plug it back in. Atleast this works for me and my drish hopper. It's annoying and I hope this issue is resolved
    soon, but this might save you a little bit of time between now and then.

    Hey there, LL Cool J03L! I went ahead and split you off into your own thread because your issue is slightly different than the thread you posted in.

    We have seen a few reports of this. Have you tried power cycling the Xbox One and the TiVo? If that doesn't work, try simply exiting the TV App for me.

    • Hit the Menu button on the TV App
    • Select Quit
    Relaunch the app and let me know if this works. I took down your information on your set up, but can you tell me the model of your TiVo, as well as when this error occurs? Who is your cable provider? Also let me know what resolves it all for you. Thanks

    Weenis - For what it is worth: I went with the optical cable. From Xbone to AV Receiver. If you go in to settings you can set up XBone->OneGuide->Devices and setup your receiver to be controlled by XBone. Good luck!

    Hi,

    The Motorola QIP 7216 has an HDCP limitation that only allows for 1 device to sit in between it and the TV. Do you happen to have an AV Receiver/Sound bar in the chain along with the Xbox One.

    If you do, you have 2 options:

    1) Call Frontier and explain you need a different STB that doesn't have this HDCP issue

    2) Use optical audio to take your AVR out of the HDMI chain.
