Having your Xbox one s digital read your phone as usb

Hey all, i was bored and poking around the settings of my all digital xbox one s and i grabbed the media player that my Xbox recommended. I've tried to get it ti read my Android phobe. But the Xbox is acting as s if the only thing plugged into it is the
wired controller i own. I liked that i could use ny phone as a storage medium on windows computers in the past.

I am pretty sure using an Android phone as external storage for your Xbox One S Digital is not possible as the first reply said. But you can contact Xbox Support with this link: https://support.xbox.com/contact-us

Thanks but i didn't consider the xbox on the same level as a pc, i was merely pointing out the feature already being a kniwn about thing by Microsoft, and in this day in age where everyone and their dog has. A smartphone, it just makes sense to have that
ability

Do check out the Troubleshoot external storage detection on Xbox One which has a requirements for external storage
section.

Also your Xbox may be produced by Microsoft but that does not mean it will act or have the same features as what you would expect from a PC running Windows. The Xbox console is based on a closed eco system with the USB ports and what can be attached to them
being restricted. I have never tried using a phone with my Xbox but that could be the reason why it is not working.

xbox 360 doesnt have bluetooth only xbox one s controll, if you want to use the xbox 360 you might use a usb cable and a otg convertor to your phone
