    Having trouble using a prepaid MasterCard/Gift Card to purchase y


    Tried to use a prepaid Gift Card (mastercard) to make a purchase in the Fortnite battle royale store. Is a prepaid gift card not an accepted form of payment? However, I do wonder what to put in the “name on card” box... please help.

    We appreciate you reaching out to us with this issue. Prepaid cards are acceptable but they would need to be properly billed. Meaning you would need to be able to register the card through the prepaid service to include billing information. Some prepaid
    cards do not offer this feature. Also, you would need to resolve any open balances on your account first. Thank you.

    The prepaid "Gift Card" type Visa and Mastercards you can purchase in store ARE NOT valid forms of payment on xbox live.

    I have had about 2 or 3 prepaid visa cards, and tried to use them on XboxLIVE. I have had nothing but trouble with them. I almost got my xbox live gold suspended, and many times I have had to contact xbox support.

    My best advice: Stay away from prepaid visa cards. Maybe move to a prepaid mastercard. When I got a prepaid mastercard, every purchase I made on xbox live worked.

    Which Prepaid Cards do work?

    Do you want to clarify what you mean by prepaid cards? Sometimes there are gift/reward cards available that act as credit cards. You should be able to use them just like a credit card as long as they have valid credit card digits (ie. 16 digits for Visa
    or Mastercard).

    We currently do not accept PayPal balance or gift cards, or prepaid or virtual prepaid cards.

    We also do not support using multiple payment methods for a single transaction.
